What to Expect with Jenni Rose Studio

Holistic

As dedicated singers, we can get so caught up in “the doing,” that we forget about “the being.” Our body is our instrument, and between anxiety, traumas, chronic illnesses, fatigue, and more, our instrument can feel out of balance. Allowing space for these experiences will create more authentic musical moments and transform your singing.

Science-Based

We want to sing the best we can as quickly as possible! With science based techniques, we can feel confident in our singing and our understanding of the voice quicker than other methods. Vocal pedagogy fosters unshakeable confidence and gets you where you want to be as soon as possible.

Student-Led

The age of authoritarian teaching is over. You know your body, your voice, and your goals better than any teacher. A collaborative approach in the studio fosters personal autonomy and creates a unique approach to lessons made just for you.

If feeling confident, autonomous, and joyful in your singing resonates with you,

Other benefits to singing lessons that aren’t “becoming a professional.”

  • Stress relief

Deep breathing, slow exhalations and sounds, and simply making noise all stimulate the vagus nerve which calms the body and mind.

  • Self-Expression

Feeling sad, hurt, joyful, excited, nervous? There’s a song for that. And if not, let’s write one!

  • Body Awareness

Your body is your instrument. The more connected to your body, the more connected you are to your singing. A healthy state of being supports healthy singing.

  • Self Care

Our days are so full of responsibilities and work. One hour of singing can be one hour you’re solely focused on you, and simply having fun!

“And all meet in singing, which braids together the different knowings into a wide and subtle music, the music of living.”

— Alison Croggon
